1. The Mercurial Man

My latest composition for symphony orchestra, written in 2023. Like Fantasy Romantique, it is a symphonic poem rather than a multi-movement work, with various themes that appear throughout the work, with theme fragments developed in the style of traditional symphonic works.

“The Mercurial Man”

This MIDI recording was made with Finale software and The Garritan Orchestra library, mixed in Digital Performer.

2. Fantasy Romantique

My first symphonic poem written in the early 1990's. This piece is intended to capture the spirit of the late 19th and early 20th Century orchestral pieces of this kind, even alluding to the mid-Eastern sounds that Romantic composers were so fond of (themes played oboe and English horn in particular.

“Fantasy Romantique”

Scored in Finale; MIDI recording with Garritan Orchestra samples, mixed in Digital Performer.

5. Fanfare Prelude

This piece, published in 2007, is scored for brass septet. It is the only one of my published works still in print. The piece is purely Baroque style (no "Neo" at all) and could have easily been written in 1756 or earlier, two hundred years before my birth. It was published with a dedication to my friend and piano teacher, Jill Reely Lee.

“Fanfare Prelude”

Scored in Finale, this MIDI recording uses samples from various brass libraries.
