04 Autumn’s Gray Skies

Vocal by Larry Williams. Lead guitar: Scott Bristow.

An unusual instrumentation, but I think the vibraphone along with Larry’s interpretation gives it a bluesy feel. Scott’s blues lead at the end adds to that feeling – great contributions to my original idea.

Beginnings – Concert of Friends

Larry Williams sings Chicago’s famous song. The trombone solo is played by Harold Alewine.

Hey Jude – Concert of Friends

Interestingly, Bruce is on piano on this one. If the ending seems shorter than usual for live performances of this song, it’s because I edited it and cut out a few of the repetitions. Jimi Oates sings the lead.

With a Little Help from My Friends – Concert of Friends

At Woodstock, Joe Cocker made this version of the Beatles’ song the version every rock band wanted to do live. A fitting ending to an evening where friends came together to help a friend!
